Delete your account
You can delete your 961doctor account yourself, at any time. Before anything is deleted, the app shows you exactly what will happen and asks for your password.
1. In the app
- Open 961doctor and sign in.
- Patients: open My profile and tap Delete my account.
Clinic staff: open Account (in the More menu on a phone, or at the bottom of the side bar) and choose Delete my account. - Read what will happen, enter your password, and tap Delete my account.
2. On the web, without the app
Sign in on the web with the same email and password (choose Patient or Clinic staff). The deletion page opens right after you sign in.
3. If you cannot sign in
Forgot your password? Choose Forgot password? on the sign-in page to get a reset link by email, then delete the account.
If you can no longer use that email address, write to [email protected] with the email address of the account. We will ask you to show that the account is yours, then delete it within 30 days and confirm by email.
4. What is deleted
- Your sign-in: email address, name, phone number and password. Every device signed in to the account is signed out at once.
- Patients: your patient profile (phone, date of birth, sex, city) and the link between your account and your records at clinics. Upcoming appointments you booked in the app are cancelled, and the clinic is told.
- Clinic staff: you are removed from your clinic, and your sign-in is erased.
Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. You can create a new account later with the same email address.
5. What is kept, and why
- Medical records at clinics. Your visits, prescriptions, results and bills at a clinic are that clinic's medical records, which doctors must keep by law. They stay with the clinic, no longer linked to an account. For a copy, a correction or deletion of those records, contact the clinic.
- Names on records staff wrote or signed. When a doctor or assistant deletes their account, their name stays on the visits, prescriptions and payments they recorded, because a clinic's records must show who did what.
- Security logs. A record of sign-ins and changes, without the content of anyone's records, is kept for [period] to protect accounts and investigate misuse.
- Billing records of clinic subscriptions, for the period tax law requires.
6. Clinic owners
If you own a clinic on 961doctor, deleting your account closes the clinic: everyone who works there is signed out at once and nobody can use it any more. Its records stay sealed for 30 days, so you can change your mind or ask us for a copy at [email protected]. After 30 days they are deleted, except billing records.
Before closing a clinic, keep a copy of what you need: you are responsible for keeping your patients' medical records for as long as the law requires.
